The Student Council is active and influential.  The Council regularly contributes to a wide range of debates such as school uniform, movement of students around school and catering arrangements.  It also tries to ensure that pupils feel safe and happy at school:  This year, for the first time, the Council surveyed all students in the school to give everyone a chance to voice concerns and raise issues.

The Council is involved in the appointment of staff to the school – in fact some staff say that the student panel asks some of the most difficult questions!

Elections take place once a year – usually in the second part of the autumn term to allow Year 7 students to get to know each other first.

We always publish the minutes of our Student Council meetings which can be accessed by the students in the Information Resources Centre.
