Alfreton Grange Arts College has a friendly and vibrant Sixth Form Centre which provides courses of study to suit students of all abilities.  We provide a wide range of subjects to meet a whole range of interests and career aspirations.  At Advanced level we are delighted that many of our students progress to University but our aim is always to provide all of our young people with the qualifications that they need to enter well-paid and satisfying careers.

For students hoping to improve their GCSE results we have a successful Level 2 programme which includes English, Maths, Science, Law and Sociology.  We also offer BTEC First in Media and BTEC Performing Arts to Level 2 students looking for a more hands-on programme of study.

Our collaboration with Alfreton Vocational Academy means that our students can also choose a vocational route to gain the skills and qualifications needed for employment.  Beauty Therapy, Motor Vehicle studies, Construction and Engineering are on offer and here at Alfreton Grange Arts College, we provide the full-time CACHE childcare qualification for students wishing to gain future employment in a school or nursery environment.

We aim to provide the care, security and continuity that only a sixth form can, alongside the flexibility and vocational focus of Further Education establishments.  We support student’s aspirations with an expert team of staff concerned with every student’s welfare, a well-stocked resource centre and two computer suites.

A sixth form prospectus is published in September with full details of the courses on offer.  Application forms can be found in the prospectus or can be completed online at http://www.alfretongrange.com/
