We recognise that this is a major change in a young person’s life and work hard to ensure that it is a success for each student.  Some of our transition work includes:

A printed copy of the College Prospectus is always available, however, all of the information, and much more is available in the information section of this website, and all items are updated on a regular basis.

The Headteacher or Transition Manager will visit Junior/Primary Schools at times to suit them, so that parents can gain further information.

In the Summer Term the Transition Manager or the Learning Support Manager visit Junior/Primary Schools to gather information that will help in the grouping of students and making appropriate provision for all students.

In June all Year 6 students have a full day’s experience at Alfreton Grange Arts College.

In July Parents can visit Alfreton Grange Arts College to see their child’s Tutor, ask questions and purchase some uniform itemsfor September.

Parents and Year 4, 5 and 6 students are invited to a special Open Evening which we hold every autumn.
