Parents should be aware that the school will take any reasonable action to ensure the safety of its pupils. In cases where the school has reason to be concerned that a child may be subject to ill-treatment, neglect or other forms of abuse, staff have no alternative but to follow the Derbyshire County Council Protection procedures and inform Social Care of their concern.
The school has a senior member of staff appointed as Child Protection Co-ordinator; any additional information to help our young people should be passed to the co-ordinator who is Mrs S Ashton (Acting Deputy Headteacher) along with Mrs D Wragg (Student Care Officer). |
